The Alaskan Chain Sawmill is specifically designed for taking large logs and processing them into usable material. This rugged sawmill is capable of cutting large logs into slabs and planks, suitable for creating unique furniture and rustic designs.

Many mills are limited by the size of the log they can take. They also will not take logs that are an odd shape and size or have a defect like large knots or huge branches. These defects can make very interesting grain features in the wood. Sawing slabs or in some cases breaking down the large log to smaller pieces to put on the mill is a great solution.
