FAQS

What types of projects can you handle with your sawmill services?

Our sawmill services are versatile enough to support a wide range of projects including new construction, historic preservation, timber framing, post and beam construction, and customized home projects. We also specialize in barn restorations and can handle large-scale commercial and residential needs.

Can you process large logs on my property?

Yes, our on-site milling services include a mobile sawmill that can travel to your property to process logs directly into usable lumber. Our Alaskan Sawmill can handle logs up to 54 inches wide, perfect for turning large logs into slabs for tabletops, bars, and other custom uses.

What does your planer service include?

Our planer service uses a four-head moulder planer to convert rough lumber into finished products like shiplap, flooring, decking, and trim boards in a single pass. This service provides you with ready-to-install materials tailored to your project specifications.

How does your kiln-drying process work?

We use small batch kilns to dry wood to your exact specifications. This controlled drying process ensures the wood is conditioned perfectly for its intended use, minimizing warping and shrinkage and preparing it for construction or woodworking projects.

How do you ensure the quality of the lumber you source?

We source high-quality, sustainably harvested timber from local loggers. Each batch of wood undergoes a thorough assessment for quality, value, and suitability for your project by our knowledgeable team to ensure you receive the best possible materials.

What should I do if I have logs from my property that I want to use for a building or furniture project?

Contact us with details about your logs and the type of project you have in mind. We offer milling and drying services where we can process and prepare your logs on your property, turning them into flooring, furniture, siding, or home accents according to your project needs.
